And here we are at Ewa's, where we stayed during the ice storm that knocked out our power for six days. Simone had a great time there -- Ewa fed her chocolate, she played with the kitty, and hung out with the other folks who gathered there for warmth.

We soaked in the last days of summer at a friend's cabin in northern NH, just under the border. Simone loved hanging out by the lake (that's her little head peeking through, with Lynn):
